Orthofix Restructures Spine Leadership

The company eliminated the role of president, Global Spinal Solutions.

Orthofix revealed a strategic realignment of its Spine leadership team, saying it is designed to accelerate profitable growth and sharpen execution.

The company eliminated the role of president, Global Spinal Solutions. Key Spine leaders will now report directly to Orthofix’s CEO, Massimo Calafiore.

Senior VP of Global Spine Solutions Shaeffer Bannigan assumed an expanded role as leader, Spinal Solutions. Bannigan will have responsibility for overall Spine strategy, commercial operations, and portfolio innovation.

VP of U.S. sales Mark Sienkiewicz will continue to lead spinal implant commercial execution, with focus on distributor expansion and onboarding. VP of Spine commercial strategy John Winge will drive strategies to accelerate adoption and growth of the 7D FLASH navigation system.

Patrick Fisher, head of Limb Reconstruction, recently assumed leadership of the Company’s Biologics business. This expanded scope is intended to strengthen commercial focus in Biologics while leveraging operational and customer-facing synergies across complementary portfolio segments.
